The Highs and Lows....

Take three out of four from the Cards...And then don't show up for the Yankees. It's unbelievably frustrating.

I don't know that a trade would help right now. i think there is just too much wrong with them.

AARGH!!!

This was the kind of result I expected from playing the Cards. I didn't think that they would make Joel Piniero look like Cy Young, but I am starting to think the injuries are just too much to overcome. And I like Fernando Tatis, but he is not an everyday player, and he certainly does not seem to be a clean up hitter. I think things will be pretty ugly until some people get healthy. But on the plus side, the losses are a little bit easier to take at thwe moment.

I will admit it, i was a real defeatist last night. I was absolutely SURE that the Mets would lose that game last night. I was sure that Pujols would come up in the ninth and put the Cardinals ahead. I am very happy that i was wrong. It was a nice team win last night. Redding stepped up nicely, went fairly deep into the game, gave the bullpen a bit of a rest. Now they just need to win more than one game in the series.
And now Beltran goes on the DL. This is getting more than a little ridiculous.

Another smashing series for the NYE Mets! Wow, they have been winning one of three for like 4 series in a row now, I think. The only reason they aren't buried in the East is because the Phillies are actually playing WORSE than the Mets are at the moment. The Mets actually gained a game in the standings over the weekend. Madness!!!!! It's like they can't get evrything together for every game. On Saturday, Johan and the bullepn pitched fairly well, but they score 1 run. Yesterday, they sore 6 runs, but guive up 10 !! AAARGH!!!!

Okay, the title of this post is a joke.I don't think anyone actually expected him to be perfect...I know I didn't. But pretty much every day now my confidence is eroding. I still just don't ahve a good feeling about this team. And I don't think that Maine, or Perez, or Putz or Reyes,or Delgado or Wagner coming back is going to make it better. It just feels like there is something fundamentally wrong with this club, and I do not know what it is. i don't know if it's one guy, or the combination of a few guys, but I just feel that this season will ultimately be a disappointment. I cannot shake that feeling.

At least Pelfrey pitched decently on Tuesday. I am starting to gte a little scared with how little the Mets hit with the bases loaded. I'm getting a bit tired of run scoring groundouts and the like. They need to get a few hits when the bases are loaded. Blow some games open. C'mon Mets !!!!!

Sunday's Game....

Okay, so that was a debacle...And quite frankly, if not for losing the game on Friday, probably would have been laughable, even with Johan on the mound. But it wasn't, and I need to get something off of my chest regarding Chip Caray and Buck Martinez.

How the fuck do you discuss Mark Texiera's decision to come play for the Yankees for 10 minutes and not mention the fact that they offered him MORE MONEY THAN ANYONE ELSE ? They went on and on abut the challenges and history and blah blah blah...And never once mentioned that the Yankees outbid the Red Sox(and I think the Angels as well). How do you do that ?

And secondly, how do you discuss Bruney comments about K-Rod's "act" on the mound without mentioning his FUCKING TEAMMATE who does the same thing, but after just about every strikeout ? You mentioned Eckersley, fer Christ's sake, but not Joba Chamberlain ?

Nice work.
